Property Inquiry Form Template

A property inquiry form is a form that collects a buyer's contact details, the listing they are interested in, their questions, budget and financing status so a real estate agent can reply with the right information and arrange a showing. This template asks whether the buyer is pre-approved and already working with an agent, so you know who to call first.

Questions

What should a property inquiry form include?

The buyer's name, email and phone; the property address or MLS number; what they want to know; whether they want a showing and when; their budget; whether they are pre-approved for a mortgage; whether they already have an agent; and how they prefer to be contacted.

Why ask if the buyer already has an agent?

Many agents and brokerages have rules about contacting buyers who are already represented. Asking up front lets you include the buyer's agent and avoid conflicts. Check your local association's rules.

What is mortgage pre-approval?

Pre-approval is a lender's conditional statement of how much a buyer can borrow, based on a check of their income, credit and assets. Sellers and agents often treat pre-approved buyers as more ready to make an offer.

Can I use one form for all my listings?

Yes. Buyers type the address or MLS number, so one form works across every listing. You can also copy the form per listing and add photos and details for a single property.

Is this property inquiry template free?

Yes. Copy it into a free Dculus Forms account, change anything you like and start collecting responses. No credit card is needed.

Can I change the questions?

Yes. Your copy opens in the form builder, where you can add, remove and reorder questions, change the layout and add your own branding.

Where do the responses go?

Responses arrive in your Dculus Forms workspace. You can export them to Excel or CSV, send them to Google Sheets or a webhook, and get email notifications.

Can I host it myself?

Yes. Dculus Forms is open source (GPLv3), so you can run it on your own servers and keep every response in your own database.
